Inventors Mentoring Services (IMS)
For fee services: Consult work
Ever reach the end of your rope and just want to scream? Okay you have tried all the IHQ/IMS suggestions and you are tired, you have a life of your own and do not want to become married to this project of getting your product to market. Plus you just dang tired of running around dead ends.
You need help, but don't trust those "other" guys. You don't want to spend several hundred dollars out of pocket money just to have someone tell you your idea has been done or there is no market for it.
Wouldn't it be nice if there was someone that could review your product, look at what you have put together and help you take it from there but not charge you ANY out of pocket money. As well as, not hit you later with a hefty percentage of YOUR royalties.
Well, I think IMS just may be the vehicle that can get you there. The vehicle that can gird up your presentation and or invention and get it to the next level. The goal is for you to do it yourself, but let's face it, we all just don't have the time or the where with all to do it. Or maybe it just may be nice to have another's opinion of what link may be missing to get that product or idea out the door and on its way.
As the next level of the IMS services we here at InventorsHQ have determined that not everyone wants to spend every waking moment on their dream, they need help, but don't want an added expense coming out of their own budget. So we have designed a very inexpensive product we call "Product Development". This is a fee for service addition to our already enormous wealth of free information on the IHQ site.
IMS's own "Product Development"
Product Development: (PD) Our definition of product development is, we take your idea as it is (after we sign your NDA) make several suggestions of changes and or additions or deletions to the product presentation and the walk with you hand in hand all the way through the process of getting an agreement with a manufacturer and or marketing company in exchange for a flat 10 percent of the royalties you that you would receive for the duration of that particular products sales.
You are still doing some of the work, just hopefully now things will go a lot smoother and quicker to that desired goal of a signed contract with a healthy manufacturing and or marketing firm with the direct influence of trained and proven successful IHQ staff behind you helping you all the way.
You have to ask yourself, "how is this any different than the Mentoring Service that I can access for free?" You had to ask. It is very, very, simple: Mentoring is help that is designed to be broad based without specific knowledge or tracking of your particular product. They are concepts taught that work and a general attempt to give you hands on guidelines without actually knowing what your product. This concept was developed for your privacy and protection.
With the Product Development Service, you allow (with the protection of your signed NDA) the IMS staff to dig and probe and review your idea and or product specifically, with a personal and now inside touch. We will mold and stretch, bend and maneuver your product and its presentation so as to best hit its mark with the highest return possible. We take the initiative in finding and contacting that all too hard to find manufacturer and or marketing/distributing company. We walk you through the rigors of hammering out a fair but strong royalty agreement one that has teeth aimed at protecting you and your product for the duration of its sales. All this hand in hand with you working jointly all the way through the process. You will required to gets your hands dirty and stay involved with the development of your product and you will still be making all the directional decisions, but now you will have some other like minded inventors helping and guiding you through all of those tough decision making processes.
We don't pretend to be replacements for legal advice or patent search professionals, and we recommend that you consider these options as you see the need, but we do desire to teach you to attain the goals you desire for your product for the least amount of out pocket money possible (including our fees).
We have determined that the best salesman for your product is you and who better for us to team up with for a successful venture than the person who had the creative inspiration for the product in the first place. Your passion for seeing the product get to market for the benefit of others teamed with our experience in getting it there is sure to be a winner every time.
So, if you get an agreement with a company after signing up with IMS's Product Development (regardless of how many of the PD suggestions and or ideas you use) you will be responsible notifying IHQ/IMS of those results (mailing a copy of the agreement to IHQ/IMS) and for deducting from your share of your royalty a flat 10 percent of that royalty amount for the duration of the sales of that product. You will also be required to furnish supporting documentation for each continuing sales periods, which would include total the number of sales, returns, and reductions in cost for multiple sales, etc.
Sound like a lot? The "other" guys charge several hundred dollars upfront to "evaluate" your product and then a minimum of two percent of the royalties once the idea is accepted. Yes, that two percent is actually forty percent of what you would actually receive (based on a five percent royalty agreement), plus all the out of pocket expenses and upfront costs.
If you are interested in proceeding with this kind of an arrangement, please take a moment and mail or fax me your NDA, (or pull one off my site) after you get my copy back signed and dated, we will proceed to the next step of completing IMS's Product Development agreement.
Remember we are a highly motivated and proven (fifty times over) team of individuals that don't get paid unless we make you successful, and the more successful you are the more successful we are.

*The best way to start the process would be to print out an NDA first, and then fill out your portion and sign it. Then fax it to me with your signature already on it as well as your address etc. Then I will promptly fill out the rest and sign it and get it out in the mail to you ASAP.
Once you receive my signed copy, you notify me by e-mail that you want to begin the process. I e-mail you back our Product Development Agreement and guidelines, at which point you decide if you can live with those conditions. If you agree to those PD/IHQ conditions, then you sign and date the agreement and mail or fax (preferably) it back to us here at the IMS/IHQ.
Then bingo, we begin the process of us evaluating and getting the heads up and where to start and plan our strategy. This is not a long process but will take your full cooperation in supplying any and all available data on your specific product and of what has already been done (this is called IHQ's Product History Sheet). As well as you being ready and willing to start doing your assignments and homework in the interests of getting that product out there.
